Notice Description

On the 1st July 2016 The kent and MedwayClinical Commissioning Groups (CCG) appointed a single provider for Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service (PTS) for all patients registered with a Kent GP who require patient transport to and from agreed treatment centers within Kent which include Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust's Hospitals.Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust is committed to the provision of this service from its single provider. However, at times as a result of requests for Patient Transport falling outside of the scope for the contract there are occasions where the Trust will require on an ad hoc basis an additional Non-Emergency Patient Transport Service which will include but not limited to: 1) High Dependency, 2) Bariatric patient care, 3) By stretcher or wheelchair. The service will be expected to meet the needs of patients described above on an ad hoc basis with the ability to provide a service 24 hours per day.
