This is not a call for competition The requirement The purpose of this early market engagement is to introduce to prospective suppliers the scope, need, vehicle and IT requirements of a proposed procurement of 5 new Incident Command Vehicles across four Fire and Rescue Services (known as 4F). They are: i. East Sussex Fire Authority ii. Kent and Medway Fire and Rescue Authority iii. Surrey Fire and Rescue Service (Surrey County Council) iv. West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (West Sussex County Council) The draft requirements are described further in the market sounding exercise document attached below. Timescales The West Sussex County Council (on behalf of the 4F) intends to publish the tender for these vehicles in mid 2024 with the award and contracting process to be completed later the same calendar year. Market sounding exercise The Council is publishing a market sounding exercise alongside this Notice to gain some insight into market capability and capacity. Responses to these questions will help to finalise the specification and service requirements. You are kindly asked to review and respond no later than 12:00 on 26 January 2024. Completed documents can be uploaded on the Council's e-sourcing portal https://atamis-7669.my.site.com/s/Welcome. The project ref is C17588. Once logged in, the project can be found under 'Find Opportunities' from the main home page. Once you have registered an interest, the project and documents can be viewed in full under 'My Proposals and Quotes'.
