Notice Description

The Department for Education (DfE) is responsible for supporting improvement in local authorities, through government intervention in response to failure or weakness in the provision of children's social care services. DfE wishes to appoint a due diligence supplier to support the set up of the Sandwell Children's Social Care Trust. The due diligence supplier will report to the DfE contract manager and Commissioner on progress on delivery, which will inform decisions about the nature of the Department's intervention. The overarching intention is that services for children and young people in Sandwell must be high quality, meet financial objectives and be sustainable. Creating an independent and professionally led organisation is considered the best way to realise this ambition. Note: Bidders interested in this requirement should be aware that they must allow at least 6 full working days before the competition closing date of 4pm on 18 October 2017. This is to complete your registration on the Department for Educations, Dynamic Purchasing System. Incomplete registrations will not be accepted. If you also need to register on Redimo you need to allow more than 6 working days. Bidders who are already fully registered on the Department for Educations Dynamic Purchasing system do not have to re-register. Bids already submitted can be withdrawn from the competition, or updated as long as this happened before the deadline. Additional information: The estimated value is up to a maximum of PS100,000 incl expenses excl VAT.
