Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Bromley Council is in the planning stage for the "Exchequer Services" procurement process, aimed at finding a service provider for various financial and administrative tasks, including business rates and council tax management. The initial engagement is underway, with an engagement end date set for 23rd February 2018. The formal tender process is expected to commence in September 2018, following a soft market testing exercise to inform the contract's make-up and packaging. The procurement falls under the financial information systems category, with various related services also included, such as postal services and payroll management.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses specialising in financial and administrative services to engage with a significant local authority. Companies offering skills in business rates, payroll, customer services, and IT solutions would be particularly well-suited to participate. The council is seeking to understand the market better and is open to feedback on service elements and tendering arrangements that would enhance the likelihood of competitive bids. Interested providers should register their interest by contacting Emma Pearce at the council by 7th July 2017 to participate in this initial engagement exercise.
