Notice Description

Cheshire West and Chester Council is looking for a variety of applicants to apply for a small contract to deliver Short Breaks to Disabled Children, Young People and their Families. The purpose of this small contracts process is to enhance the services that are offered within the borough and also to increase choice for Disabled Children, Young People and their Families. Important information for all applicants: * Funds must be used to support disabled children 0-18 years and their families who live in Cheshire West and Chester * Organisations must ensure that they have a safeguarding policy and procedures that comply with the requirements of Cheshire West and Chester Safeguarding Board.This must inform both the strategic and day to day operation of the organisation. * Organisations must work in a co-production manner with children , young people and their families in terms of the ongoing design of the service offered , its delivery as well as the evaluation of the service. * Organisations must provide evidence of the use of their allocated funds. * Organisations must provide activities that deliver a positive experience for Children and Young People as well as providing a short break for their families / carers. * Organisations must provide information/data in respect of those families who use their services to Cheshire West and Chester via a quarterly performance report * Organisations must provide appropriate case studies that show the impact that the service is having / has had in relation to individual young people and their families * Organisation will attend Cheshire West and Chester quarterly Short Breaks Providers forum * Organisations must ensure that if they receive a small contract for short breaks that the service offered is located on the SEND Local Offer website * Organisations must ensure that families that they work with have access to information and support to access other appropriate services. * Organisations must work together to organise joint activities where appropriate that will ensure best use of available funds * Organisations may only use the funds in conjunction with other funds they may generate through other means following agreement with Cheshire West and Chester Council. * Organisations must ensure that if any of the funding is utilised to purchase any specific equipment and /or deliver any specific training then there is a clear agreement to provide future data in relation to use of the equipment post funding period to offer a legacy as well as the ongoing legacy of any training delivered * Organisations must consult with the Manager of the Disabled Childrens Service and the Commissioning Manager if they are uncertain whether any activity that they are planning falls outside of this agreement following any award. This funding is to be utilised to deliver additionality of service offer for Short Breaks for disabled children, young people and their families.
