Provision of Funeral Services and Body Transport Services
Notice Description
2gether Support Solutions on behalf of East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust (the Trust) invites all professional, competent, and suitably experienced providers of Funeral Services (Lot 1) and Body Transport Services (Lot 2) to submit a Tender response for consideration by the Trust. Concerning Lot 1: Funeral Services, the Trust requires a professional, competent, and suitably experienced provider to deliver, always in an appropriate and dignified manner, funeral services for deceased adults, young persons, children, babies, and foetuses (including placentas) as required during the Contract term. Concerning Lot 2: Body Transport Services, the Trust requires a professional, competent, and suitably experienced provider to, always in an appropriate and dignified manner, convey (transport) the bodies of deceased adults, young persons, children, babies and foetuses (including placentas) as required during the Contract term. Additional information: The initial duration of the Contract is 36 months. At the Trust's sole discretion, the Contract may be extended by up to a further two (2) x 12-month extensions, with the contract term not exceeding five (5) years in total. The Trust reserves the right to not extend a particular Lot, but may decide to extend any other Lots. Suitably experienced providers wishing to bid for either one, or both, of Lots must submit their Tender response via the Trust's e-Tendering system. Instructions for submitting your Tender are as follows: a) click 'View current opportunities and notices' b) express interest in the 'itt_4070 - Provision of Funeral Services and Body Transport Services'. c) download and closely follow the guidance given within 'Section A - ITT instructions' from the Attachments section of the e-Tendering System d) accurately complete and fully submit your Tender within the e-Tendering system by no later than 16:00 on Friday, 16th September 2022. The Trust reserves the right to award the contract in whole, in part or annul the tendering process and not award any contract. Bidders should note that they will be required to enter into terms and conditions of contract as set out in the ITT and that save for matters of clarification or consistency the Trust will not negotiate the terms. The Trust will not accept completed ITT's after the stated closing date. All documents to be priced (where applicable) in sterling and all payments made in sterling. All Tender costs and liabilities incurred by Bidders shall be the sole responsibility of that Bidder.
