The Department for Education has granted Hackney Children's Services funding for a further year to continue embedding contextual safeguarding within the service. This is an extension of the Department for Education funding of the contextual safeguarding project in Hackney, which started in April 2017 and ended in March 2020. In order to assess the value of the investment the Department for Education requires there to be an evaluation undertaken by an external agency.
