Enrichment Programme Year 7 Theatre Production Provision & Delivery
Notice Description
Newham Councils Enrichment Programme funds a range of culture opportunities for Newham children. The secondary theatre offer provides free theatre seats for all year 7 pupils in Newham's Secondary Schools. We are aiming to capitalise on the inspiration visiting the theatre can give to young people. We are seeking to procure a high quality theatre production for the 2023-24 academic year which will include relaxed performances suitable for SEND pupils. A theatre visit schedule will be put in place to be delivered between 31 October 2023 - 31 March 2024. We wish to ensure all Newham schools, regardless of where they are located within the borough, do not have an unreasonably long or complex journeys to the theatre production. It is important theatres are located within reasonable travel time, and straightforward public transport journeys of all Newham secondary schools. It is important the production cast are diverse and reflective of the Newham pupil audience. The production conventions content, themes, and language should be suitable for, and applicable to children in the specified age groups growing up in Newham. The theatre packages will include additional "wrap around" components to enhance the theatre visit experience. The provider will be responsible for all communications with Newham schools. Payment will be made per pupil seat at an agreed set rate. Additional information: The Council wishes to undertake a soft market test to understand if there are providers who are suitably located with relevant experience to provide the service outlined in the Prior Information Notice. Market engagement meetings or events may be held subsequent to this deadline. This is not an invitation to tender and the responses received on this form will not be evaluated. Any response provided will not be treated as commercially confidential.
