Notice Description
Islington Council is committed to making Islington a fairer place to live and work and an efficient repairs and maintenance service to its residents is a Housing priority. Islington Council invites suitable expressions of interest from experienced General Build Repairs and Maintenance contractors in support of the Council's in-house teams. The repairs service aims to demonstrate a positive impact on our residents' health and well-being by maintaining properties which are safe and fit for purpose. Background Islington Council has set up an in-house repairs team to carry out repairs and maintenance to our housing stock. Staff in the in-house repairs team are employed directly by Islington Council. Leaseholders may need to contribute to the cost of repairs, maintenance or improvements, through the block and/or estate repairs element of their annual service charge. The Schedule of Rates details the costs of types of work carried out and are essential to ensure an accurate and timely recharge to leaseholders.
