Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence has issued a Prior Information Notice (PIN) for a Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Framework Agreement aimed at providing workshops and design programmes for young people aged 9-14. This procurement is currently in the Planning stage, with an engagement end date set for 13th May 2022. The workshops will take place both face-to-face and virtually across the United Kingdom and some overseas locations, aiming to reach a significant number of participants with a planned delivery of up to 150 workshops each year. The industry category is defined under "Other community, social and personal services," and the Framework will be valid for five years, allowing successful bidders to participate in future requirements through a "Call-Off" or "Mini Competition."

This tender presents a unique opportunity for businesses specialising in educational services, particularly those with experience in STEM-related workshops, curriculum development, and youth engagement initiatives. Companies that focus on coding, robotics, or other relevant areas, especially those that can effectively cater to a diverse demographic, including women and socially disadvantaged groups, will find this opportunity well-suited for growth. By participating in the upcoming market engagement event on 3rd May 2022, interested suppliers can showcase their capabilities and establish connections within the public sector.
