Notice Description

One in ten young people has some form of diagnosable mental health condition, which is approx. 850,000 children & young people in the UK today. We know that children with a mental health problem face unequal chances in their lives, and that half of all mental health conditions are established before the age of fourteen. We also know that early intervention can prevent problems escalating and have major societal benefits. There is clear evidence to show that schools can play a vital role in identifying mental health needs at a nearly stage, referring young people to specialist support and working jointly with others to support those experiencing problems. Therefore, it is a Govt. priority to deliver mental health awareness training to all primary and secondary schools across England. This requirement is for the primary schools programme and will be awarded to the organisation/ group of organisations, who can demonstrate their capability to deliver mental health awareness training. The Department of Health and Social Care ('The Department') plans to release a tender for a service provider to deliver this requirement. The procurement is currently at the pre-tender stage, the purpose of which is to engage service providers providing an opportunity to:- 1. get a clear understanding of what business outcomes the Department requires and ask questions regarding the proposed scope of work. 2. meet representatives of the Department 3. give your views on how to structure the requirement so that it maximises market interest, innovation andvalue for money. The contract is expected to commence on the 1st October 2018 and expire on the 30 September 2020, with the option to extend annually for a further 2 years based upon service providers performance. This notice is placed as a prior information notice and relates only to a pre procurement market engagement event. The Department reserves the right to not proceed to tender additionally the Department reserves the right to discontinue the proposed tendering process and not to award the contract. We are inviting interested parties to come to the Department to learn more about the scope of the contract, and to discuss their ideas on an informal basis. We are keen to support creative and innovative ideas around how this programme can be successfully delivered. There will also be the opportunity to have one-to-one discussionswith the team following the presentation. The open day will be held on Friday 9th February 2018 at our offices at our offices in Victoria Street - 39 39Victoria Street, Westminster, London, SW1H 0EU; Time 10am -4pm. Service providers interested in attending the open day should register via the e-sourcing tool Bravo Solutions (link provided below) by the 6th February 2018 providing - i) Contact details of the person/s attending; ii) a single paragraph summary of your organisation experience and whether it is classed as a Small to Medium Sized enterprise (SME). This summary will shared with other participants in order to promote discussion and assist the formation of partnerships where service providers wish to do so. Maximum two attendees per organisation. Transparency: Potential suppliers should note that, in accordance with Government's policies on transparency, the Department intends to publish the Invitation to Tender (ITT) document, and the text of any Contract awarded, subject to possible redactions at the discretion of the Department.
