** Please note this is not a call for competition, This is a PIN notice for a Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy requirement** This project aims to provide the Office for Product Safety & Standards with information about the purchasing of components and products by construction businesses (ranging from large construction firms to micro-businesses and self-employed tradespersons), retailers, installers, importers, and those involved in the design and specification of construction projects. Our specific interest for this piece of work is in the factors that influence purchasing decisions, alongside broader attitudes to standards and certification schemes. Manufacturers and general consumers will be out of scope for this research. The research will take a mixed methods approach, providing both a deep, contextualised understanding of attitudes within the sector, while determining the prevalence of specific attitudes and behaviours across the sector, across business types, and across product types. We would like to invite prospective bidders to attend a pre-market engagement session on Thursday, 2nd December 2021 15:00 - 17:00 via MS Teams. The agenda for the day is as follows: * Introductions, * Overview of the requirement, * Evaluation expectations,* Procurement overview, * Discussion / Q&A Note that the route to market will be via CCS Research & Insights DPS (RM6126) (www.crowncommercial.gov.uk/agreements/RM6126) and to bid for this work the lead contractor will have to be registered on the CCS Research & Insights DPS (RM6126) prior to the requirement being launched. Additional information: A pre-market engagement session will be held on Thursday, 2nd December 2021, 15:00 - 17:00 via MS Teams. This will provide an opportunity for potential providers to find out more about the aims of the procurement and the process. Providers wishing to attend need to RSVP by Wednesday, 1st December 2021 at 15.00 stating their name, company and email.
