TD1546 - Bulking and Haulage of Dry Mixed Recycling / Organic Waste

Notice Description

Derby City Council ('the Council') is procuring a new contract for the bulking and haulage of dry mixed recyclables (DMR) and/or mixed garden organics. The Council requires a contractor to provide a delivery point in Derby for the receipt of DMR and/or mixed garden organics, an initial sorting service to remove small amounts of contamination and haulage of the materials to a specified facility/facilities. The contract will comprise a three-year, two month and seven day initial term, commencing on 1st April 2020, with two possible extensions, each of one-year duration. It is anticipated that the Council will require capacity for approximately 37,000 tonnes per annum. Please note, suppliers wishing to express interest and obtain the documentation, must do so by 15:00 on 23 January 2020. It is recommended that you express interest and obtain the documentation well before this time to allow sufficient time to prepare and submit a comprehensive response. The deadline for returns is 14:00 on 24 January 2020.
