Summary of the contracting process

The Royal Borough of Greenwich, in collaboration with Greenwich Clinical Commissioning Group, is seeking to award a contract for the Integrated Children and Young People's Therapies Service. This procurement falls within the health services category and is part of an open procedure. The contract is set to commence on 1st September 2016 and will run until 31st March 2020, with the possibility of a two-year extension. The estimated contract value ranges between £2.1 million and £2.5 million per annum, subject to funding availability. The deadline for tender submissions was 16th May 2016.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in therapeutic services, especially those experienced in delivering Speech and Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy. Companies that have the capacity to comply with social value requirements and are prepared to include the London Living Wage in their pricing model will be particularly well-positioned to compete. As the contract aims to address early needs and reduce health inequalities among children and young people, providers who can demonstrate a commitment to these goals will likely excel in the tender process.
