Notice Title

UKHSA_Science - Purchase of Syringe Pumps

Notice Description

UK Health Security Agency (UKHSA) requires to purchase a programmable syringe driver (pump) that provides accurate, consistent nutrient media flow through a microphysiological system (organ on a chip). The syringe driver needs to be programmable in terms of flow rates and pressures and be capable of both infuse and withdraw functions. It needs to be able to be fitted with a multi-syringe adaptor to allow up to ten syringes of various sizes (140ml down to 0.5ml) to be fitted to the device. The pump also needs to be able to operate inside an incubator and thus needs to be small and capable of operating for extended periods (weeks) at 37degC. This pump will be used on a microphysiological system project that is part of a collaboration with academia. The system was developed around a specific syringe pump at one of the collaborator's institutes who also manufacture the bespoke organ chip hardware in house. To ensure that the systems and the data produced are to be comparable between UKHSA and the rest of the collaboration it is necessary for the syringe pump to specifically be a PHD ULTRA I/W PROGRAMMABLE (model: 703007) fitted with PHD ULTRA 6/10 MULTI-RACK (model: 703020A). We require to purchase two of the above pumps at the moment and one additional pump anytime during the term of the contract. If you can supply the above product, please email your quotation to Frantisek.Kasanic@ukhsa.gov.uk by 29th September 2022. Please note that we cannot accept any alternative models as the above product has been pre-evaluated for the specific project, hence any variation would cause significant delay to our ability to deliver results.
