Summary of the contracting process

The Brighton & Hove City Council is in the planning stage of the procurement process for the "BHCC GB Corporate Building Cleaning Services." This contract, classified under the CPV code for cleaning services, is aimed at providing cleaning and sanitisation of various corporate buildings within the Council's portfolio. The contract is set to commence on 1st May 2022 for an initial duration of six years, with an option to extend for an additional two years. To gauge market interest and capacity, the Council has scheduled a market engagement session on 26th April 2021, with interested parties required to confirm their attendance by 20th April 2021. The engagement deadline for this preliminary phase is 20th April 2021 at 23:59:59 BST.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses in the cleaning and facilities management sectors seeking to expand their clientele. Companies that can deliver comprehensive cleaning services and demonstrate an understanding of social or added value considerations will be particularly well-positioned to compete. The forthcoming procurement process will likely involve dividing the contract into three smaller lots, allowing for greater participation from small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) looking to leverage their capabilities in providing tailored cleaning solutions.
