Provision of Parliamentary Monitoring Service
Notice Description
NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a provider for the following:1)Parliamentary monitoring 2)Political research and engagement tools 3)Ad-hoc political research. The requirement for a parliamentary monitoring service fits into the following categories:1) Parliamentary monitoring a) General Parliamentary/political monitoring NHSBT requires rolling live updates and a regular summary of the upcoming parliamentary and political agenda in the UK Parliament, Devolved Administrations; and European Parliament, including (but not limited to): legislative activity; debates; oral questions; ministerial statements; select committee activity; All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) activity; ministerial engagements; policy announcements; consultations; and relevant Government departmental press releases. This must be delivered electronically to named contacts. b) Specific Parliamentary monitoring - UK Parliament - NHSBT requires to be notified of all relevant activity on specific nominated issues in the UK Parliament. This must be delivered electronically on a daily rolling basis to nominated contacts. There will be a requirement to monitor certain search terms/key issues. Devolved administrations: NHSBT requires to be notified of all relevant activity on specific nominated issues in the Devolved Administrations. This must be delivered electronically on a daily rolling basis to nominated contacts. There will be a requirement to monitor certain search terms/key issues. European Parliament:NHSBT requires to be notified of all relevant activity in the European Parliament. This must be delivered electronically on a daily basis to nominated contacts. There will be a requirement to monitor certain search terms/key issues. 2) Political research and engagement tools: NHSBT requires the successful agency to provide online political research tools, including:a)Access to biographical and other relevant information on Parliamentarians and senior civil servants, including current/previous political roles, political/other interests, and contact details. b)Tools to engage with/record contact with Parliamentarians and senior civil servants. Including access to a regularly updated full contact list of all members of the Government including their Private Office (Special Advisors, Private Secretaries etc).c)User-friendly searchable records of Parliamentary activity. d)The ability to track all relevant Parliamentary activity relating to specific Parliamentarians and nominated issues/Bills. 3) Ad-hoc political research -to meet ad-hoc requests for political research, often at short notice. The appointed agency ideally will have experience in working with the public sector. An understanding of health issues, in particular an understanding of NHSBT issues would be of benefit. The appointed agency will have to demonstrate excellent customer service and working as part of a wider team Additional information: Requests to participate must be submitted by email to Ros Gill no later than 10.00 a.m. Thursday 16th July 2015. Any requests received after this deadline may not be considered.
