Notice Title

GB-London: 102096 - Press Sector Financial Research

Notice Description

DCMS requires a research project to: 1) Examine costs, revenues, assets, and liabilities of individual firms and analyse findings at an aggregate level. Provide a short overall analysis of what can be inferred about financial sustainability of the sector from these findings. 2) Examine how the issues considered in (1) change over time and across different sub-sectors. More information is provided below. 3) Provide an initial analysis of the impact of Covid-19 on the sector and a discussion of how the crisis may alter financial dynamics analysed in (1) and (2). The primary aspects of the research will be (1) and (2), with the third section a shorter and more prospective discussion given limitations surrounding an analysis of Covid-19 impacts. The findings of this analysis will be presented through a final report and presentation. The project will be used to inform the Government's press sustainability policy in the context of structural decline and the Covid-19 crisis. The detailed financial analysis it provides will be used to aid the design of future interventions in the sector. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
