Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process for the "North Central London (NCL) Integrated NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours Service" is organised by NHS North & East London. This initiative, classified under health services, is currently in the planning stage, with a notable engagement end date set for 23 February 2018. The services will primarily serve regions in London, including Barnet, Camden, Enfield, Haringey, and Islington. Businesses that may excel in this procurement include those specialising in integrated healthcare solutions, as well as smaller and newer providers, encouraged to express their interest and participate in the bidding process. Notice Title

North Central London (NCL) Integrated NHS 111 and GP Out of Hours Service

Notice Description

NHS Barnet, NHS Camden, NHS Enfield, NHS Haringey and NHS Islington CCGs are keen to test the potential provider market for the Integrated 111 and OOH Service. The services currently expected to fall within the urgent care pathway will include, but are not limited to, the following core services: NHS 111 and GP Out-of-Hours services. The aims of the proposed service are to provide a clinically safe and telephone triage service. The NHS 111 component of the service operates within national standards across England through a local commissioned delivery model that is most appropriate for any given area. The NHS 111 commissioning standards will apply to the service. Further information on the NHS 111 service development can be sourced through registration at: https://www.networks.nhs.uk/nhs-networks/nhs-111-service-development The OOH GP Service is accessible to the local populations across Enfield CCG, Barnet CCG, Haringey CCG, Camden CCG and Islington CCG. The service is to provide access to unplanned urgent care, working in partnership with the wider urgent care system across primary, community, secondary health and social care. The principal aims of the proposed Integrated NHS 111 and OOH service are to: * Improve the public experience accessing urgent healthcare * Get people to the right service first time, including self-care where appropriate * Provide the CCGs with management information regarding usage of services * A more streamlined patient pathway * A consistent model of care across NCL Potential providers with relevant capability to deliver this service are requested to express an interest in bidding for this service should the CCGs decide to carry out a competitive tender exercise and publish a Contract Notice for this requirement. The CCGs actively encourage smaller and new providers to attend the event. We welcome interest from collaborations of providers. Additional information: The CCGs will be holding an information event on 5th August 2015, from 2-4pm, at the Arlington Conference Centre, which will be an initial opportunity for providers to engage in the process and to share your views. Please note: Due to the level of interest we have received we have had to change the venue location from Stephenson House to the Arlington Conference Centre, Conference rooms 1 & 2, 220 Arlington Road, Camden, London NW1 7HE. The venue is easily accessible by Public Transport and is only a 2 minute walk from the nearest tube station, Camden Town (Northern Line) http://www.arlington.org.uk/conference-centre/contact-us/ If you would like to receive an invitation to this event please send your contact details to the email address below (you should confirm how many people would like to attend along with their full name/job title). Depending on the responses, spaces may be limited, therefore the CCG's may apply a limit on numbers from each organisation. You can express an interest by sending an e-mail to the Clinical Procurement Team at clinical.procurement@nelcsu.nhs.uk. The deadline for submitting a response is at 5pm on 31st July 2015. Please note that this pipeline notice is to inform the CCGs' decision making process. This does not commit the CCGs to a carry out a procurement process. Bidders expressing an interest to this exercise will, in addition, have to confirm their interest should the CCG decide to procure this service and publish a Contract Notice (advert) for this requirement. The expression of interest does not infer any special status on those providers who do submit an interest. Providers who do not express an interest at this stage will still be able to apply in the future. All responses will be treated in confidence.
