Summary of the contracting process

The Staffordshire and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process for an "Autism and Aspergers Diagnostic Service" aimed at enhancing accessibility to diagnostic and post-diagnostic support services. This initiative is focused on the health and social work services sector and is intended for the North West region of the United Kingdom. The engagement deadline for potential suppliers to submit their feedback is set for 23rd February 2018, with a previous response deadline of 10th August 2015 already passed. The contracting authority is looking to refine the service specification based on supplier input prior to initiating the formal procurement.

This tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses in the health and social services sector, particularly those specialising in diagnostic services or support for individuals with autism and Asperger's syndrome. Organisations that offer innovative solutions, expertise in mental health, and experience in collaborative service delivery would be well-suited to compete for this contract. With the potential for a wider arrangement across the Lancashire area, successful bidders may benefit from long-term engagement with regional healthcare providers.
