Notice Description

Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police are to invite suitable vehicle operators to tender for the provision of Vehicle recovery services for the alliance. The Contract term will be for a maximum period of 5years. The contract will be on a 3+1+1 with a rolling 12month extension after 36months. The first initial appointment will be a 3 year fixed period, years 4 and 5 will be appointment on a year by year basis subject to the following: * The Service provider maintaining levels of performance which are acceptable to the alliance throughout the preceding contract period. * The Service provider offering levels of safety and adhering to requirements of the tender specification and service level agreement. Due to the geographical coverage, the contract will be broken down into the various Lots. Bidders are eligible to bid for one or more Lots, in your tender submission (covering letter). Please ensure you clearly highlight the Lot(s) that you intend to bid, the alliance reserves the right to: 1. Award up to three or more operators per Lot, this is dependant upon the geographical location and the coverage needed for all recovery areas, and also depends on the number of bids received. 2. To award the same recovery operator with multiple Lots, providing they are successful with the specific Lot(s). 3. Where there are multiple operators within each Lot the alliance reserve the right to prioritise the recovery work load in a pro-rota basis starting with the highest scoring operator, followed by the second highest scoring bidder. Prioritising the work will be applied in a format of a ranking system. 4. The alliance also reserve the right not award any of the Lots. The contract will be broken down into the following Lot(s); please note operators will not be allowed to choose either light or heavy vehicle recoveries. This contract is and shall cover a combination of the two vehicle categories.
