Clinical Psychology Services
Notice Description
West Yorkshire Police (WYP) currently receive fully outsourced Clinical Psychology services from one private contractor, who provides therapy for individuals referred by Occupational Health Department (OH). Police Officers and Police staff experience emergencies that can create a wide range of psychological and social challenges at an individual level, which require treatment. Therefore, it is important that WYP have a pre-established pathway of suitable referral resources. WYP wishes to appoint a suitably experienced and qualified Contractor who is proactive and committed to developing a partnership approach. The Contractor will provide services in an efficient manner and will seek out on-going efficiencies throughout the life of the agreement. The main service required under this contract relates to one-to-one assessment and therapy, which is provided to Police Officers and Police Staff. These services are required to treat a wide spectrum of psychological disturbances including but not limited to; work related and psychological trauma. Our cases often present with extremely complex multifaceted issues. We would also expect the provider to use their expertise in providing a range of psychological therapies to enable the person to return to employment and full functionality. In addition to one-to-one services, the contractor will be required to provide group training sessions with the Occupational Health Department, general advice to the OH team, initial assessment reports, reports for GP's and discharge reports. The Contractor must be able to deliver these services from their premises a central West Yorkshire location or have at least two premises in the East and West side of the Force area. It is anticipated that a contract will be awarded in accordance with the timetable and dates specified on the Bluelight e-Tendering Portal. The contract will be for a period of 3 years initially with the option to extend the contract by a further 1 x 12 month period.
