Summary of the contracting process

Notice Description

The UoB's Polhill (Bedford) Campus has a long association of teacher training particularly within the 'Primary' age group. To further enhance its estates facilities to assist and equip teachers for the real school environment it now seeks a local landscape partner to construct/install/plant a Forest School. It is realised that our available budget is limited and hence the need to work with a partner who will * Design the Forest School * Be responsible for the delivery * Have the resources and expertise to construct/renovate/install the major resource intensive structures * Work with our Campus staff to enable them to undertake the less resource intensive aspects of the project * Undertake any commissioning required * Instruct/train staff in managing the project * Comply with all appropriate H & S and legislative requirements Additional information: Budget The available budget is circa PS11000 + VAT Anticipated Completion Date Late September 2015 Site Address The University of Bedfordshire - Bedford Campus, Polhill Avenue, Bedford MK41 9EA Contact Details for Site Visit Robert Garwood - Project Manager, UoB, The Atrium, Park Street West, Luton LU2 8LE Inclusions * UoB Forest School Presentation * Sketch of proposed area with desired facilities Please email any questions and your submissions to: robert.garwood@beds.ac.uk Selection The tenderers will be required to submit their response by the closing date as follows - * 3 hard colour copies (A1 size) drawing of their proposed scheme clearly indicating what works the tenderer is undertaking and what works are being undertaken by others * An electronic version of the above * A pricing schedule indicating the costs of the major elements of their scheme * A simple programme for the proposed works * The final tendered price Final election will be by interview (date to be advised) where the invited proposed partners will be requested to present their scheme(s).
