Summary of the contracting process

The NHS Shared Business Services has commissioned a new contract for the Community Audiology Service in Brent, aimed at supporting healthcare delivery closer to patients' homes and improving care quality within the health services category. The contract, which amounts to £160,000 and is designated as a single tender action, commenced on 1st October 2021 and will last for a duration of six months, ending on 1st April 2022. The service will be delivered within the locality of Brent, London, to address the needs of the GP registered population and augment existing healthcare capacity.

This procurement presents an excellent opportunity for SMEs and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs) to participate in enhancing local healthcare services. Companies that specialise in health services, particularly those providing audiology and rehabilitation assistance, would be well-positioned to compete for future contracts as the North West London CCG develops its commissioning strategies. With the CCG's ongoing review to streamline and strengthen service delivery, businesses that can demonstrate expertise in patient-focused care and adherence to NHS standards will find significant growth potential in this market.
