Summary of the contracting process

The Cornwall Council is currently inviting tenders for the provision and support of a Fire Fighter Management System, aimed at efficiently managing the availability, payroll, and rostering of approximately 750 operational firefighters. This open procurement, classified under software package and information systems (CPV code: 48000000), is set in the South West region of England. The tender is active, with the submission deadline on 23rd September 2021. The contract is expected to start on 1st January 2022 and run until 30th June 2024, with an estimated value of £200,000.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for software companies, particularly those specialising in emergency services solutions or workforce management systems, to establish or expand their footprint within the public sector. Enterprises that can demonstrate experience with the GD92 messaging protocol and a track record of high resilience in their service offerings would be well-positioned to compete. The broad accessibility and integration needs of the system also suggest a chance for businesses that provide robust cloud-based software solutions.
