Primary Care Medical Services (APMS) for The Village Medical Centre, Great Denham, Bedfordshire - Market Engagement Event
Notice Description
NHS Arden and Greater East Midlands CSU (AGCSU), on behalf of NHS England Midlands & East (Central Midlands) and Bedfordshire CCG is inviting suitably qualified and experienced providers to deliver GP services at The Village Medical Centre, Kingswood Way, Bedford MK40 4GH. The initial contract period will be 5 years, with the option to extend for a further 5 years (maximum term of 10 years, subject to Governance approval). There is also the opportunity to earn extra income via QOF and CCG GP Enhanced Commissioning Framework. This opportunity will be open to the entire market, including the current providers. It is intended that the tender will be published by mid August 2018. As this tender is for existing services, the services must be fully operational by the service commencement date of 1st April 2019 in order to ensure continuity of care for patients. In support of this the Commissioners are holding a Market Engagement event on Thursday 5th July 2018, from 13:00 - 15:00 at Great Denham Community Hall, 86-88 Saxon Way, Great Denham MK40 4GP . If you would like to attend the event please register your interest by a) logging into the Arden & GEM CSU e-Tendering portal https://ardengemcsu.bravosolution.co.uk (registration and use of the website is free of charge). b) Selecting respond to advert and PQQ_500 2. Complete the questionnaire and request a place at the market engagement event. Additional information: The actual patient list size as at April 2018 was 8,314 with the weighted list size 6,904.02. The services must be GP Led and provided by GPs, nurses and other clinical professionals, the successful Provider will be expected to: *Provide primary care services which will be accessible, convenient and responsive *Deliver all services throughout core hours Monday - Friday 8am-6:30pm *Design services around the needs of patients and carers, ensuring they are offered more choice and a greater say in their treatment *Have processes in place to evaluate and continually improve on patient satisfaction *Have processes in place to engage effectively with the local communities *Participate in National Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) *Be eligible for and expected to provide all Enhanced Services, remunerated in line with the relevant Directions as specified by the commissioner on an annual basis. *Promotion of healthy living with the aim of tackling the underlying causes of ill health. There is significant housing growth in the area and as such the patient list is growing.
