Hours: 37 Location: Sandwell Council House, Freeth Street, Oldbury Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Agency Brief description: Adult Social Care in Sandwell is seeking to change and transform how we provide services to our communities. You will be joining the team to assist in developing a robust plan on how we develop and implement a robust strategy to create strong resilient communities across Sandwell. As the Assistant Director for Strategy and CQC readiness you will progress our ambitions for Adults and develop and drive our strategic development for outcomes for adults in Sandwell. You will work across the directorate to formulate the ASC Strategic plan to assist and enable residents in Sandwell to live independently in the community. You will have overall responsibility for specific service areas and functions. Day to day operational control and development of the service in accordance with Council Policy and as directed by the Director of Adult Social Care. High level professional advice to the Council and Cabinet members on all associated service areas / functions. The Assistant Director will lead/chair corporate/public working groups and will ensure the co-ordination of cross service working. You will have overall responsibility for ensuring that we are ready for CQC readiness creating a Self Assessment that highlights the strengths and future planning for ASC, be responsible for the preparation of an ASC Strategic Plan for the service so that potentially volatile annual budgets are managed effectively. The successful candidate will have senior management responsibility for ASC Strategy management and coordination of CQC Inspections, partnership working and therefore you will understand how to deliver effective leadership, build good stakeholder relationships and develop a strategically aligned and values based organisational culture in order to achieve high quality outcomes.
