Notice Description

Asset mapping provides information about the strengths and resources of a community .Commissioning community activity is better done when informal assets as well as socio- economic and health inequalities are taken account of.Informal community assets are such things as un-constituted interest groups and clubs.Linking place-based deficit maps with place-based informal asset maps at a local level enables formal commissioning activity to add and support local people living in local communities , without undermining their efforts to be independent and to support their own well being. This Request for Quotation is seeking to find organisaions who can create "community volunteers" or "community champions" that can undertake informal asset mapping. They must be able to provide general support and management for volunteers .They must be able to provide training for volunteers in the specific asset -mapping role for adult social care, including understanding and using Connect To Support. Organisations must be able to work in close partnership with a range of local bodies and agencies to make sure volunteers are making use of already known information and knowledge
