Market Engagement/Request For Information The Home Office is responsible for setting strategic direction for security and law enforcement. The department plays a crucial enabling role in security and law enforcement operations, supporting the harnessing of cutting-edge capabilities through investment in science and technology to anticipate the emerging technologies of the future. The Home Office has a requirement for next generation capabilities to detect, identify and/or monitor chemical and biological hazardous substances in public and government locations, for safety and security purposes. The purpose of this RFI is to enhance the Home Office's understanding of current and future cutting-edge capabilities, to consider options for funding further research, capability development and procurement in the future. Additional information: To participate in this market engagement/RFI, participants must first be registered on the Home Office eSourcing Portal. If you have not yet registered on the eSourcing Portal, this can be done online at https://homeoffice.app.jaggaer.com by following the link 'To register click here'. Please note that, to register, you must have a valid DUNS number (as provided by Dun and Bradstreet) for the organisation which you are registering, who will be entering into a contract if invited to do so. Once you have registered on the eSourcing Portal, please e-mail HomelandSecurityRNProcurement@homeoffice.gov.uk to request access. Please add your organisation name to the e-mail and use "RFI Chemical & Biological" as the subject header.
