Market Engagement - Patient Participation in Prison Healthcare in the North of England
Notice Description
NHS England will work in partnership with patients and the public, to improve patient safety, patient experience and health outcomes; supporting people to live healthier lives. By prioritising the needs of those who experience the poorest health outcomes, NHS England has more power to improve access to services, reduce health inequalities in communities and make better use of resources. Participation (sometimes referred to as engagement or involvement) can take place in a variety of ways. This requirement focuses on the setting up and facilitation of Health Councils within prisons to encourage patients within the secure estate are able to "participate" in consultation. Supplier engagement opportunity: NHS England will be holding a supplier engagement day on February 13th 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm in Leeds. The purpose of the day is engage with suppliers that are interested in and consider themselves capable of delivering the services. An agenda of the day will be issued upon registration. Interested parties can register for the event by contacting NHS England via the following email address: ENGLAND.offenderhealthnortheastandcumbria@nhs.net with the following information: (a) organisation name; (b) attendees (maximum of 2 per organisation); (c) contact details. Interested suppliers will be provided with information about the day and supporting notes, which will also be made available to those unable to attend. Additional information: NHS England intends to use its eTendering system once the tender goes live. A contract notice will be issued to alert suppliers when the tender goes live.
