You are invited to meet with representatives from Brighton & Hove City Council to discuss the recommissioning of Ageing Well on Thursday 6th June 10am - 11.45am at Hove Town Hall. To book your place at this event please email clare.langford@brighton-hove.gov.uk The current contract for this service has run successfully since April 2019 and expires at the end of March 2025. We are now looking towards the next chapter in our ambition to be a city where everyone has the opportunity to age well. We are again looking to commission a lead provider, working under a single contract with a partnership of providers, to deliver an integrated citywide service of health promotion and primary prevention to older adults. The new Ageing Well Service will build on the best elements of the existing service and maintain the current identity. The name of the service will remain Ageing Well in order to continue to build brand awareness in the city. The new service will comprise of two clear elements of delivery. These are: 'a connection service', and 'evidence-based activity provision to support health & wellbeing'. There will be presentations on the context, rationale for the new service, further details on the service specification, and an opportunity for discussions and questions. The tender documents for this commission will be released in August subject to Cabinet approval on July 18th. Further clarification of key dates will be given at this event.
