Summary of the contracting process

The Cefas is seeking suppliers for the procurement of a Tissue Processor as part of an open tender process. The tender was published on 10th June 2019 and remains active, with a submission deadline set for 24th June 2019. The project falls under the research laboratory services category, with an estimated contract value of £50,000. The contract period is anticipated to commence on 1st July 2019 and conclude on 31st July 2019. Interested bidders should note that delivery addresses include the UK and various overseas territories.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses specialising in laboratory equipment installation and services, particularly those with expertise in providing advanced technological solutions for scientific processing. Companies with capabilities to produce and deliver spark-proof and user-friendly laboratory equipment, along with effective safety features, would be well-positioned to compete for this contract. Given the complexity and specificity of the requirements, suppliers with a strong background in supporting research facilities and high standards of safety will likely be the most competitive contenders.
