The Newcastle University Helix quarter is located in the city centre of Newcastle upon Tyne. The site, formerly known as Science Central, consists of multi-use buildings both residential and academic The following link will provide you with further information: https://newcastlehelix.com/explore The University is looking to appoint a Company to provide thermal response testing at a deep geothermal borehole located within this site. 2.2 Scope of Services The purpose of this contract is to carry out three thermal response tests at the already drilled and constructed Newcastle deep geothermal well for the purposes of research, including: 1. The preliminary inspection of a deep (~1650 mbgl) geothermal borehole 2. Preparation of the site and borehole to include the installation of coaxial pipe configuration within borehole. 3. Thermal response testing to include minimum of three 96 hour thermal response tests 4. Retrieval of coaxial pipe configuration 5. Demobilisation
