Senior Licensing Officer Rate of Pay: ?15.78 - ?18.00 per hour Hours: 37 hours (Working hours are 7.45 am to 12 noon and 1.00 pm to 4.15 pm Monday to Thursday and until 3.45 pm on a Friday) Location: Taxi Licensing Office, Waterfall Lane, Cradley Heath B64 6RL Start Date: ASAP Contract type: Temporary - 12 weeks Job Description and Personnel Specification are attached, which also provides more information above the role. Brief description: We are seeking a Senior Licensing Officer to join our Taxi Licensing Team on a short term basis at what is an exciting time of change. We are looking for a manager who has a flexible approach and a clear ability to problem solve and make a difference to a staff team. The ideal candidate will be the following; o Forward thinking o Proactive o Have the ability to work well under pressure o Reflective thinker o Strong communicator o Adaptable to change o Customer focussed o Able to effectively manage own time o Strong IT skills o Performance focussed The Taxi Licensing Team is responsible for processing applications for driver, vehicle and operator licences in line with the Council's Private Hire and Hackney Carriage Licensing Policy, giving advice and guidance in licensing matters both on the phone and in person and gives evidence in court in person as and when required. The Team are working with a Project Team to implement a new IT Licensing system which gives the team new opportunities to modernise and digitalise many of our processes. Please can the agencies send over a CV, 2x up to date references and a copy of Terms and Conditions. You will also need to include your agency on cost details to each submission. Stated rates must be inclusive of all known costs. No DBS is required for this role.
