Pan Essex Integrated Urgent Care Service - Market Engagement
Notice Description
The seven NHS Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) across Essex are intending to procure an Integrated Urgent Care Service county wide in the latter part of 2016. The service to be procured will be based on the Integrated Urgent Care Commissioning standards published in September 2015, to deliver to the public and healthcare professionals a single point of telephony access into urgent care, alongside their registered GP and affording the CCGs the ability to coordinate urgent care intervention through the NHS 111 service, the Clinical hub and an Out of Hours telephony & appointment service. The service will assess patients with their unplanned urgent care needs, working in partnership with the wider urgent care system across ambulance, primary, community, secondary, mental health, social care and the voluntary sector. The aim of an Integrated Urgent Care Service is to deliver a clinically led, patient focused sustainable, high quality service with operational efficiency. Accessible to all service users utilising telephony and digital technologies (multi-channel) to deliver the most clinically appropriate and value for money outcome, whilst managing demand that the service refers or signposts to providers and stakeholders. The service elements must deliver high quality medical services that integrate fully with other providers to achieve an improved patient pathway, improved patient outcomes and patient experience. We would expect over 60% of all callers to have contact with a clinician from within the service. To start this process and engage openly with current and prospective stakeholders, providers and partners, the CCGs would like to invite you to attend a series of workshops to explore the scope of the service, including access; the elements to be included in the service and the clinical specialties that would be required within the Clinical Hub. The procurement will be seeking clinically sound, innovative and value for money solutions for the delivery of this requirement. The CCGs will expect that the eventual providers work closely with all the CCGs and their constituent localities, System Resilience Groups and the Essex Success Regime. There will be a pre engagement event to discuss the services, details as follows: Date: 3rd June 2016 Time: 10.00am until 12.00pm Venue: Marconi Centre (www.masc.uk.com) * Overview of scope of service from the feedback and pre work * Summary of work plan and Indicative timeline * Future events and engagement We would be grateful if you could forward names of representatives through the Attain Bravo Solutions portal by 13:00hrs on 27 May 2016. In planning for this event we have estimated a maximum of 2 representatives from each organisation. There has been a previous event held in May.
