Notice Title

Pharmacy 3D Cinema

Notice Description

As part of preparations for the School of Pharmacy's new undergraduate curriculum, the School has developed a learning system that uses computer generated characters to simulate a clinical scenario in a three dimensional (3D) environment. The character responds to the decisions made by the learner and the system is currently used for training pharmacists to apply practical skills and to examine their performance in clinical environments. The University wishes to extend this technology to expand its virtual immersion facilities previously developed for the Keele Active Virtual Environment (http://www.keele.ac.uk/pharmacy/digital/). This facility would allow the learner to, not only interact with virtual characters, but provide a three-dimensional space which the learner can explore other aspects of the courses we offer, such as molecular modelling and anatomy. Additionally, the University intends to use this new teaching and learning resource to support commercial activity such as external conferences, employer engagement through continuing professional development and postgraduate short courses. Please see attached tender documents for additional details. Additional information: Is a Recurrent Procurement Type? : No https://in-tendhost.co.uk/universityofkeele/aspx/
