Notice Description

Hampshire and Isle of Wight (HIOW) Occupational Health Services (OHS) are seeking Expressions of Interest from suitably qualified Occupational Health Physicians (OHPs) to work within HIOW on a flexible basis. Providers will support the existing Trust OHS for NHS People across the Integrated Care Board (ICB). Organisations who provide OHS within the ICB are: * Isle of Wight Trust * North Hampshire Hospitals Trust * Portsmouth University Trust * Solent Trust * Southampton University Trust The majority of OHS are SEQOHS accredited (or are becoming accredited) and deliver the current services with teams of accredited Occupational Health professionals (physicians and nurses) and supported by experienced administration staff. The OHS provide a comprehensive occupational health service (referrals, ill health retirement, pre-placement health assessments, vaccinations and health surveillance etc) to our NHS People. Our focus is on high quality, accessible and evidence-based practice to maximise the effectiveness of staff and the best possible outcomes for all. We aim to: * Support people and managers to create a safe and healthy working environment where the health and wellbeing of employees is highly valued, and which encourages and supports employees to maintain and adopt healthy lifestyles. * Support people through change and help them to achieve the highest levels of performance, contributing to operational efficiency. * Take a proactive approach to supporting people and managers to improve staff attendance. * Work within national guidance and legislation and ensure compliance and best practice guidance and standards are met. The people to whom we provide OHS work in a variety of settings, which include: Acute, Community and Mental Health settings, specialist clinics, care homes, community health clinics, patient homes, offices and other business environments and home working. The majority of consultations can take place remotely, however, when clinically indicated, face to face appointments on one of our sites in HIOW may be required. This PIN is issued solely for the purpose of alerting the market to the Authority's intention to engage with providers in order to gauge interest in this area. This PIN does not constitute a commitment by the Authority to undertake a procurement exercise in the future.
