While the management of legacy and Archive Data extracted from the live and legacy shared service ERP systems is the current requirement, the DfT is seeking to procure a system that has the flexibility to accept and manage multiple data types. The Archiving system will likely become the standard Archiving Service for the DFT Shared Service once live and the DfT is considering the possibility of expanding the use of the Archiving Service for the archival and management of other sources of information (non Shared Service) once the solution is established.
