Notice Description

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council (the Council) wishes to invite interested suppliers (Tenderers) to participate in a tender exercise in relation to the Provision of Funeral Services (the Services).The Council has identified its requirement to establish a Contract to appoint a suitably qualified and experienced Supplier.The Council recognises the profound impact bereavement has on families and the importance of the funeral as part of a healthy grieving process.Through its Registration Services the Council provides a suite of funeral related services for the residents of the borough and those organisations and families who chose to use its excellent facilities.In addition it also provides services relating to the transportation of bodies for the Coroner, the arrangement of funerals for those where no arrangements are being made, the Public Health funeral, and low cost direct funeral services. Value of Contract-Annual expenditure is estimated to be in the region of PS60,000. This figure is intended to be used as a guide only and is not a guarantee of the level of business that will be generated from this Contract. Period of Contract-1 May 2018 to 30 April 2022
