Summary of the contracting process

The East of England Home Oxygen Service is currently in the planning stage of a public procurement process led by Attain, on behalf of 15 Clinical Commissioning Groups (CCGs) in the East of England region. This market engagement event aims to inform potential providers about the upcoming tender for the new contract due to commence after the current one expires on 31st March 2022. Interested parties are encouraged to participate in a virtual event on 24th March 2021, with registration closing at 4pm on 19th March 2021. The procurement falls under the healthcare industry, specifically in oxygen-therapy services, and will take place in the East of England, mainly focusing on facilitating the installation, maintenance, and servicing of equipment.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialised in healthcare logistics, medical equipment supply, and maintenance services, particularly those offering oxygen therapy solutions. Companies with experience in engaging with NHS procurement processes or those familiar with the specific needs of clinical care in the East of England will be well-positioned to compete. The early engagement preceding the tender allows businesses to better understand project requirements and optimise their proposals, potentially leading to fruitful partnerships within the healthcare sector.
