Proposed tender of Integrated Wheelchair Services

Notice Description

Clinical commissioning groups across North West London are redesigning community wheelchair services for people of all ages who have a long-term need for mobility assistance. The CCGs (Barnet, Brent, Central London, Ealing, Hammersmith and Fulham, Hounslow and West London) envisage that the redesigned service will provide an integrated care model for wheelchair users. The priority of this redesign is to ensure those with complex, long term conditions, are able to access the right wheelchair, quickly, and with appropriate support. The CCGs would like to receive feedback on specific areas set out in this questionnaire and any other comments you may have about how these services could be set up to improve the patient experience and provide general benefits to the health economy. Commissioners are also proposing to hold an event on the 2nd October 2015 from 13.00 - 16.00 at 15 Marylebone Road London NW1 5JD The purpose of the event will be to outline emerging options for new wheelchairs service following feedback from supplier and stakeholder engagement. Findings from the event will be used to inform the proposed model within the service specification. Commissioners, current providers and interested new providers are all invited to express their interest to attend. Attendance is limited to x2 people per organisation. Your feedback and support is vital to the development of this project and the future of these services. Additional information: Thank you for taking the time to review this future opportunity.
