London Bridge Kiosk
Notice Description
1.1. Transport for London is seeking to appoint a Principal Building Contractor to carry out the manufacture and installation of a new information kiosk within existing London Bridge bus station. The aim is to complete the installation by November 2018. The small (approx. 20 m2) Information kiosk is a standalone, public facing building with a metal clad exterior and a timber clad interior. The unit will sit on a concrete slab foundation which has already been constructed. All groundworks have been completed and all services have been drawn to correctly located chambers in the foundation. Note: there is no main water or foul water connection required for this project. 1.2. A key benefit of this project is providing high quality at the principal point of face to face contact with our customers. The Information kiosk will be a major contributor to the improvement of the overall customer experience in the station and must be constructed to high standards within an operational environment. 1.3. The preferred procurement route is to appoint a principal contractor who may subcontract specialist packages and work in partnership to cover all aspects of the project from mobilisation, coordination, manufacture, building control liaison, mechanical and electrical, finishing, commissioning and handover. 1.4 Dates / values provided are only indicative. At the time of this notice the specification is being updated, and not attached. Companies interested in tendering for these works, should contact us to confirm their interest and provide a maximum of three previous project examples, which demonstrates their experience of undertaking works of a similar size and scope. The examples should describe role on project, budget, contract type and duration of works.
