Notice Title

RDE 439 - Methodology for developing catchment scale water supply-demand

Notice Description

The objective of this contract is to take the conceptual approach (see attachment) and develop it further so that a standard, and replicable methodology for supply-demand balance assessments for agriculture can be undertaken at a catchment level so that any residual deficits can feed into Regional Water Resources Plans. The approach needs to be basic and robust, recognising that water company plans have taken decades to evolve, but water resources planning for agriculture on this scale is in its infancy. Output shall include a fully developed methodology including, but not limited to: * process flow chart, including links to data sources * how-to method statements for each step * identification of data required * catchment definition * quantification of residual deficits which cannot be met locally from within the catchment This was awarded by EA.
