Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence's ISTAR division is seeking to procure Emotional Intelligence Training for its staff, with a total contract value of £21,500. This procurement falls under the education and training services category and is classified as a services contract. The tender has reached the award stage, with the contract period set to run from 21st March 2016 to 31st May 2016, following a tender period that ends on 18th March 2016. The training is to be delivered across the UK, particularly focused on enhancing staff capability through tailored learning solutions.

This training tender presents a significant opportunity for businesses specialising in staff development, particularly those experienced in emotional intelligence and behavioural training. Companies with a proven track record in delivering similar training initiatives, especially those that can engage with government agencies and understand the needs of public sector staff, would be well-suited to compete. Furthermore, suppliers that are verified as voluntary, community and social enterprises (VCSE) may find this opportunity particularly advantageous, given the emphasis on inclusive partnerships in public procurement.
