Notice Title

WMCA Transport Planning Framework Agreement

Notice Description

The West Midlands Combined Authority (WMCA) aims to deliver world class integrated transport across the West Midlands. The Transport Planning team of Transport for West Midlands (TfWM) supports other TfWM and Local Authority (LA) partner teams in doing so. The team has evolved and grown but volumes of work, as well as the need for independent advice and specialist expertise not always found within the team, mean an ongoing need for consultancy support to supplement its work which would look to be sourced via this framework. Consultants qualified to this four years maximum term framework shall be expected to provide project level technical support in liaison, consultation and successful negotiations with relevant stakeholders as directed by TfWM. Stakeholders are likely to include to DfT (Department for Transport), other Government departments and statutory bodies, Local Authorities/Highway Authorities, National Highways, Network Rail, HMRI, public transport operators, developers, professional bodies, business leaders, stakeholders and the general public. Consultants shall liaise and cooperate as necessary with all consultants employed on projects by TfWM including (but not limited to the following): - Engineering Consultants - Environmental Advisors - Financial Advisors - Legal & Commercial Advisors and - Other advisors that TfWM may engage The strategy for whether the framework is divided up into specific Lots or not is still to be determined and feedback is sought. Current thinking is that it could consist of the following four Lots: - Lot 1 - Rapid Transit (considered a specialist area requiring appropriate experience and skills) - Lot 2 - Transport Planning - Lot 3 - SME specialist skills - Lot 4 - Secondments Consultants could bid for some or all of the eventual Lots decided. If you wish to express your interest in the project and / or attend our Market Engagement day on 18th July 2023 commencing at 1000 please do so through BravoSolution, the WMCA's e-tendering portal (https://wmca.bravosolution.co.uk) and access our PQQ, the reference is pqq_184. If you are not already registered on BravoSolution it is free and usually only takes a few minutes to do so.
