Notice Description

DfT are supporting a direct award to Arup for this work package to be undertaken by their supply chain partner Ricardo AEA Ricardo are uniquely placed as expert consultants in air quality who have sole responsibility for the compilation of the National Atmospheric Emissions Inventories reports for greenhouse gases and air quality on behalf of Defra and BEIS. It would be prohibitively costly for an alternative supplier to replicate their modelling work and provide us with a consistent set of outputs. It is also vital that our analysis is aligned with the national inventories to ensure a consistent analytical approach across Whitehall. Finally, in our view there would be significant risk of failure and/or delay should the work be let to an alternative supplier.
