Notice Title
Support to UK Victims of Terrorism
Notice Description
The Victims of Terrorism Unit in the Home Office is launching an open grant competition for organisations that wish to support victims of terrorism. The contracting authority will be inviting organisations to bid for up to PS500,000 to help them in providing support to victims. Organisations are able to bid for some or all of the funding available and are able to offer niche specialisms and support or holistic support services. The funding can be used for: Providing proactive and practical support to victims of terrorism, on challenges that victims are likely to face, including but not limited to - o advice on the legal or coronial processes, compensation schemes, press intrusion and sharing sad news. o immediate one to one care after an incident - for example with children. o emotional support and guidance from specialists who are qualified to support victims with their mental health, wellbeing and emotional resilience. The contracting authority will welcome proposals from all organisations wishing to support victims of terrorism to cope with and work through, where possible, the impacts that terrorism has had on victims' lives. This includes organisations which already support victims of terrorism, or wish to extend current support services to victims of terrorism. We welcome all suggestions for how to support victims, however, successful applicants will deliver support in house, by specialists who are qualified to provide the support and who can proactively offer support to victims. Funding is anticipated to be allocated to the successful organisation(s) by the end of May 2020 and projects will be required to start after the beginning of June 2020 and complete by 31st May 2021. A maximum of PS500,000 will be available. The number and nature of projects funded will depend upon the proposals received. We welcome bids for some or all of the funding available. Accessing further details: The full grant call will open on Monday 20th April 2020 at 09:00hrs and close by Monday 18th May 2020 (10:00hrs). In order to submit a proposal, bidders MUST be registered on the government's Esourcing website and submit an expression of interest to the Home Office commercial team in advance of the opening date of Monday 20th April 2020. Fuller details of the grant competition and evaluation criteria will only be accessible via the Esourcing website to those who have registered by this date. Please note registration on the Esourcing suite is a relatively speedy process and should not be confused with registration as a supplier on the Research Marketplace of the Crown Commercial Services' (CCS) Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), which is a different process. Details of next steps and how to register your interest are laid out in the 'How to Apply' section below, detailed within the Notes section. Additional information: How to apply section1.
