Notice Title

GB-Banbury: Phase 1 - Strategic alignment to just transition principles

Notice Description

WRAP seeks to take a holistic approach across our delivery that addresses both the ecological impact of materials and the inequalities exacerbated by the current linear economy. A just transition recognises the environmental, social, and economic dimensions of the global climate crisis. It is not sufficient to simply mitigate environmental damage; it must also ensure that the benefits and burdens of ecological policies are distributed fairly. This approach is rooted in the understanding that environmental justice and social equity are intrinsically linked. It is imperative that the transition does not exacerbate existing vulnerabilities or create new inequities. We specifically seek to strengthen WRAP's strategic alignment with just transition principles to support our growth and impact ambitions around the world and to ensure that just transition runs through all of WRAP's work. We have split this work into two phases: phase 1Strategic alignment to just transition principles phase 2 Partnership building with just transition funders This procurement activity is only for Phase 1. Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
