The procurement, currently in the Tender stage, operates under a restricted procedure with a deadline for submissions set for 12:00 noon on 18th October 2017. The anticipated start date for the contract is on 1st April 2018 for two of the CCGs, while the West Essex CCG will commence from 1st June 2018. This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in patient transport services, particularly those with capabilities in safe and efficient transport solutions. Enterprises in the service sector, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and voluntary, community, and social enterprises (VCSEs), may find this tender particularly relevant. As the CCGs plan to expand service provisions in accordance with health care demands, bidders able to demonstrate flexibility and innovation in their service offerings may be favoured. Moreover, businesses that can cater to the evolving requirements across Hertfordshire and West Essex, including potential inclusions for low acuity services, stand to gain from this long-term contract opportunity.
