Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process involves the NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit, which is currently planning a tender titled "Request for Expressions of Interest for Special Allocation Scheme (Violent Patient Scheme)." This initiative falls under the health services industry category and targets the East Midlands region in the United Kingdom. The significant deadline for this phase is set for 8th February 2019, at which point interested parties must submit their expressions of interest via the Midlands and Lancashire CSU eProcurement portal. The anticipated service commencement date is 1st January 2020, with a contract length of three years, potentially extendable by up to two years.

This tender presents an opportunity for businesses specialised in healthcare services, particularly those equipped to handle complex patient needs, such as those requiring care under the Special Allocation Scheme. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and volunteer community sector enterprises (VCSE) may find this opportunity particularly relevant as it promotes inclusivity in service provision for vulnerable populations. Additionally, organisations should carefully prepare their Pre-Qualification Questionnaire submissions to engage in this competitive process effectively.
